Following the election of Donald Trump as president of the United States, president Obama’s paternal grand mother Sarah Obama has called on Donald Trump to learn from what she considers as Obama’s leadership skills. She has also advised Donald Trump to review his plans on the immigrants controversy. Sarah Obama said: “There has been a notion that immigrants should be deported, these are all children of God. Now that he wants to deport Kenyans back home then it means that Americans living in other countries should also be sent back home. That should not be the case.” Sarah Obama says the grand son, Barrack Obama whose mandate is coming to an end, should copy from his late father’s example and focus on helping others. Outgoing president Obama has been criticised within the party for leaving the Democratic Party in ruins. Obama met with Trump on Thursday to discuss modalities of a peaceful transfer of power.

Trump he had realise $17 million for hurricane damage that staff, officials, do not recall

PALM BEACH, FLA.—Donald Trump said he received a $17 million (US) insurance payment in 2005 for hurricane damage to Mar-a-Lago, his private club in Palm Beach, but there is little evidence of such large-scale damage. Two years after a series of storms, the real estate tycoon said he didn’t know how much had been spent on repairs but acknowledged he pocketed some of the money. Trump transferred funds into his personal accounts, saying that under the terms of his policy, “you didn’t have to reinvest it.” In a deposition in an unrelated civil lawsuit, Trump said he got the cash from a “very good insurance policy” and cited ongoing work to the historic home. “Landscaping, roofing, walls, painting, leaks, artwork in the — you know, the great tapestries, tiles, Spanish tiles, the beach, the erosion,” he said of the storm damage. “It’s still not what it was.” Trump’s description of extensive damage does not match those of Mar-a-Lago members and even Trump loyalists. In an interview about th...

Kenya received sh198 million as treasure refund for troops fighting Al-shabaab from European union

The Europe Union has released Sh198 million to the Treasury as refund for Kenyan troops fighting Al-Shabaab militants in Somalia after a seven-month delay attributed to a verification hitch. Treasury documents show that Kenya received the money in September with the last refund coming in February in a reimbursement that is meant to happen quarterly. Kenya received Sh4.2 billion from the UN in the first seven months of last financial year against a claim of Sh6.4 billion, meaning the country is owed Sh2.2 billion. It expects to receive Sh6.4 billion in the year to June 2017. The Treasury did not explain the delay, but earlier reports in the BBC indicated that payments for the 22,000-strong African Union force (Amisom) were being withheld over “accounting issues”. Nearly 4,000 Kenyan soldiers are part of Amisom and the international community provides $1,028 (Sh103, 828) for each Amisom soldier each month; their respective governments then deduct about $200 (Sh20,200) for ...
