Homicide happened at a homeless cam

One man is dead after a double stabbing in Burnaby last nightThe Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says it happened just after 8 p.m. at a homeless camp in the area of Rumble Street and Griffith DRive. 
When officers got there they found one man who was rushed to the hospital and quickly released. They conducted a search and found a second man who died at the scene.

A 53-year-old man, who was known to the victim, was arrested and police say they are considering homicide-related charges.

“At this time there is no apparent connection to the homicide of Kevin Knuff that occurred on October 9, 2016 at a nearby homeless camp.  
Police are currently looking to notify additional family members of the victim, therefore, his identity will not be released at this time,” says Corporal Meghan Foster.

IHIT, Burnaby RCMP, the Police Dog Service and Forensic Identification Section are handling this case.

“At this early stage, this incident appears to be a targeted attack between individuals known to each other.  Police are looking to obtain information about the events leading up to this homicide and are asking anyone with information to come forward,”
