In 2023, Tanzania exported agricultural products worth 2.3 Billion USD which was 10% higher than the estimate for 2021

The country currently ranks 8th largest exporter of Agricultural Products by Value in Africa 

Tanzania also has the 3rd largest positive Balance of Trade in Africa (that is, the difference between exports and imports) in Agricultural Trade

With exports worth 2.3 Billion USD, Tanzania's value of imports for Agricultural Products is estimated as 1.1 Billion USD

That's a Trade Balance of 1.2 Billion USD; and ranks 3rd highest in Africa after Cรดte d'Ivore ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฎ and South Africa's ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ estimates 

Tanzania's largest agri-exports are CASHEW NUTS and RICE while WHEAT is the main agri-based import by Value

Kenya received sh198 million as treasure refund for troops fighting Al-shabaab from European union

The Europe Union has released Sh198 million to the Treasury as refund for Kenyan troops fighting Al-Shabaab militants in Somalia after a seven-month delay attributed to a verification hitch. Treasury documents show that Kenya received the money in September with the last refund coming in February in a reimbursement that is meant to happen quarterly. Kenya received Sh4.2 billion from the UN in the first seven months of last financial year against a claim of Sh6.4 billion, meaning the country is owed Sh2.2 billion. It expects to receive Sh6.4 billion in the year to June 2017. The Treasury did not explain the delay, but earlier reports in the BBC indicated that payments for the 22,000-strong African Union force (Amisom) were being withheld over “accounting issues”.
