Manchester United travel to Chelsea for the first time since Jose Mourinho took over at Old Trafford.

The United boss departed Stamford Bridge in December before replacing Louis van Gaal in Manchester following the conclusion of the 2015/16 season.

United have had a tough week - visiting Liverpool at Anfield on Monday night before hosting Fenerbahce in the Europa League on Thursday. Meanwhile, Chelsea have not played since beating Leicester eight days' ago.

Wayne Rooney was not pictured with the United squad who boarded the train at Stockport on Saturday afternoon, but Chris Smalling has travelled with the team despite coming off with an injury in midweek.

Mourinho will be desperate for a result against his former employers and United fans will want to move up the Premier League table after the confidence boosting win against Fenerbahce.

revealed there was a “sense of pain and disappointment” after the Reds were hammered 4-0 at Chelsea.

Jose Mourinho’s side, who frustrated Liverpool on Monday night, were humbled on his return to Stamford Bridge and the Blues raced into a 2-0 lead after just 20 minutes.

Although David Luiz was lucky to stay on the pitch following a studs-high challenge on Marouane Fellaini , United never recovered.

The Reds went on to lose the game 4-0 in their biggest defeat for 17 years and Mata has revealed how stunned the dressing room was afterwards.

“There’s a sense of pain and disappointment obviously,” he told Sky Sports. “It’s a painful result. We came here with the mission of winning and having a good game and from the first minute we started very bad.

“I felt when we were close to score our first goal they scored third goal and that was key. We were close to their box trying to create something and they score the third goal.

“In the first half they started better than us and that was a key.”

United turn their attention to the Manchester derby on Wednesday and Mata hopes the Reds can make amends after such a poor display.

“It was painful result but it’s just three points and obviously we are not in the best situation,” he added.

“We have difficult games this week and we have another very important game in three/four days so we need to be together and think about this game and learn from our mistakes.

The announcement was made at the Electoral Commission of Namibia’s (ECN’s) headquarters in Windhoek, but many parties were absent — contributing to a sombre mood. Multiple parties, including the incoming official opposition party, the Independent Patriots for Change (IPC), and the Landless People’s Movement (LPM) boycotted the announcement, as they do not recognise the election’s results. In a statement issued moments before the announcement, the IPC reaffirmed its...
