Nigerian Army confirms Boko Haram attack near Chibok

The Nigeria Army has confirmed an attack by suspected Boko Haram insurgents on Kuburvwa village of Chibok local government areas of Borno on Monday. It said the attack was carried out by a group of “hungry” Boko Haram gunmen that were out to scavenge for food. The spokesperson for the army, Sani Usman, said in a statement on Tuesday that the attacks did not lead to any loss of life, and that it was repelled. PREMIUM TIMES had Monday night reported an ongoing attack on the community. The insurgents, according to local vigilante operatives, set houses ablaze after villagers fled their homes. Mr. Usman said in a statement Tuesday that more villages were also attacked by the gunmen. He however said the attackers were repelled by the troops deployed in the area. According to a copy of the bible that we have seen, Bushiri’ holy words will be unveiled under the label,Prophetic Bushiri Bible. The Prophetic Bushiri Bible will be different from other bibles as it comprises three testaments: 1. The old testament 2. The new testament and 3. The modern times testament. This is historical as all the Bibles that have been sold over the years had two testaments. Prophetic Bushiri bible has been written and translated into English, French, Setswana, Swahili, Chinese and Russian. It has been established that the Bible will be unveiled at the end of October,2016 and each copy will sell at an equivalent of $ 20.

Passenger spots snake curled around armrest on

TOKYO – A passenger spotted a snake curled around the armrest of another passenger’s seat on a Japanese Shinkansen “bullet” train on Monday, forcing the train to make an unscheduled stop. No one was injured in the incident. The train’s operator, JR Tokai, or Central Japan Railway Co., said the passenger sitting in the reserved seat was unaware that the snake was wrapped around his armrest for about 50 minutes until the person behind him saw it and notified a conductor. Experts suspected the snake may have been brought on to the train accidentally in someone’s luggage or with maintenance equipment. The 30-centimetre (foot-long) snake, initially thought to be a small type of python, was later identified as a rat snake after police consulted with a local zoo, according to Japanese media. Goodbye blackouts? New electricity company registered in Malawi

Amid continuing blackouts in the country, government has now registered a new energy company which will be generating power in Malawi. According to Minister of Energy, Mining and Natural Resources Bright Msaka the new company is EGN co. Msaka said the company will be producing electricity while Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (Escom) will just be buying the energy from EGN co for distribution to consumers. “We have now incorporated a new power producing company called EGN co. It is now an independent company of the mainstream Escom.” “The company will be responsible for production issues and it will be in charge of Nkula, Tedzani, Kapichira falls plus other smaller installations,” said Msaka. The minister added that EGN co will also continue introducing new projects of power generation with the aim of reducing blackouts. Naked man claiming to be a 'Delta wizard' crashlands in Benin church premises (pics+vid)

Okay...this is bizzare... Church workers of City Gate Church, Benin did not prepare for what they met when they resumed for duties. They were thrown into confusion when in the morning they opened the church premises which has a very tall gate, fortified with razor sharp barbed wires, and discovered a stark naked man roaming to and fro the compound. The workers insist the premises was locked the previous day. Upon interrogation, the naked young man confessed he is a wizard from Delta state. According to him, he was on an unknown assignment from Delta state when his 'spiritual google map' went haywire. He found his course diverted, and when he got to Ring Road, Benin, he hovered around the area before crash landing, butt naked, in the church premises. He ends by professing a willingness to surrender to God since he has been 'arrested'.

His penis bitten off by the 24 year-old woman who says her actions were done in self defense.  The alleged rapist, a Ghanaian Techiman Municipal Fire Commander is currently in critical condition sans manhood. UN suspends all aid operations in Syria after it's convoy and warehouse is severely attacked (video)

The United Nations has decided to temporarily suspend it's aid operations in Syria after it's aid convoy and warehouse in Aleppo was massively attacked on Monday night, leaving tens of thousands of people unable to get food, water and medical supplies. According to a UN official, it's unclear if the deadly attack on the convoy and warehouse was caused by ground fire or it was hit by a fighter jet but the U.S say no coalition planes were at the area at the time of attack and that the attack was either from Russia or Syria . This comes days after the U.S and Russia agreed on a 7 day ceasefire in Syria in order to allow the country recover from the bad situation it's been in over 5 years. "At the moment [the] aid operation remains suspended while we assess and reevaluate the situation on the ground," the UN spokesperson said, adding aid convoys planned had come to a halt. LILONGWE (Maravi Post)–Malawi Health Equity Network (MHEN), which was formed in 2000, in its bid to spearhead health activism, has urged Government to find alternative source of energy in order to fully wipe blackouts which are affecting health services in the country. Widows of Hope Africa director, Elizabeth Banda was speaking in Lilongwe during the training session of widows based in the area of Chinsapo in Lilongwe. “As widows, you can venture into business and live a successful life without begging, I know you are experiencing some problems but its time to go on with life,” said Banda. Banda said her organisation will ensure that most widows are turned into successful business ladies. “It’s possible, you can live a happy life just work hard and remain focussed,” said Banda. China's Ministry of Civil Affairs on Friday updated the number of deaths to seven as a result of Typhoon Meranti, which struck Fujian province early Thursday. Nine people in China are still missing. Taiwanese authorities reported that one person died in the storm. According to Chinese officials, Meranti forced the relocation of 33 million people and destroyed 1,600 homes.   “The audit report will give us a clue as to who was involved and a disciplinary action will be taken against them,” said Mughogho. Malawi Economioc Justice Network executive director Dalitso Kubalasa thanked people of Karonga and Mchinji for staging a sit in and protests respectively, saying they have a right to demand transparency and accountability from office bearers. Kubalasa however condemned the violence in Mchinji, saying such demands should be done peacefully. The Mchinji district commissioner Chimwemwe Hara said no council official is involved in abuse of funds at the council and no money has been stolen as alleged by the protesters.   Family members have confirmed the death. Nangwale , who was in her early 70s, died in the dawn of Sunday at Mwaiwathu Hospital in Blantyre. Mourning is taking place at her  sister’s place  Mrs Chirwa in Kanjeda, Blantyre. Inspector General of Police, Lexten Kachama  said he was “so sorry” former police chief “has gone”. Another former Insctor General of Police, now Director of  State Residence  Peter Mukhito  said he was “deeply saddened” by the news. Nangwale was rejected by Parliament to become first  Inspector General of Police  when late president Bingu wa Mutharika appointed her. She was then posted to Malawi High Commission in London where she was working as first secretary (political affairs) .
